Illinois International Undergraduate Achievement Award (Past Winners)

Nomination Deadline: October 5, 2007
Any undergraduate student in at least the second year of study at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign meeting the selection criteria below is eligible to compete for this award. The award will recognize a significant contribution to an activity as the result of participating in an international course of study sponsored through a University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign sanctioned program. The international contribution can be a single activity or service over a sustained period.
The winner will receive a plaque and a $500 award to be presented at the international awards banquet in spring 2008, sponsored by International Programs and Studies and hosted by the Chancellor’s Office.
Selection Criteria:
- Matriculating undergraduate student in at least the second year of study at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
- Grade point average of at least 2.5.
- Have achieved a meritorious act or undertaken a sustained activity with an impact on the international programming or mission of a University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign activity, department, school, or college.
- The achievement or service must be substantiated and verifiable to the satisfaction of the selection committee.
Nominations, due by October 5, 2007, can be made by faculty, staff, student peers, or students can self-nominate.
