Sheth Distinguished Faculty Award for International Achievement (Past Winners)

Nomination Deadline: October 5, 2007

Many faculty at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign are distinguished by their international activities and recognition in their teaching, research and public engagement. Since 2002 the campus has annually recognized these faculty with the Distinguished Faculty Award for International Achievement presented at the Spring International Achievement Awards Banquet. The nomination process is outlined below; colleagues should propose names through their departments. Nominations are due by October 5, 2007.

Eligibility

The nominee shall:

  • Hold a full-time faculty appointment at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
  • Have a significant record of achievement and recognition for their international work

Nomination Process

1.Completed nomination cover sheet with:

  • Name of person nominated
  • University of Illinois nominating unit(s)
  • Brief summary of nominee’s qualities, achievements and work that are relevant to the award criteria (100 words or less)
  • Principal nominator name and contact information
2. Narrative
  • Nominee’s qualities, achievements and work that fit the criteria for award (not to exceed three pages)
  • Resume of the nominee
  • One letter of support from the nominee’s head and names and contact information for two additional referees
